The Kampa Museum, the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague and SpainArt present an exhibition of the world-famous shoe designer of Czech-Spanish origin Manolo Blahnik. After Milan and the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Prague was the third stop and the first presentation of the world-famous brand in Central Europe, which invites visitors to see shoes as art objects. From Prague, the exhibition travelled to Madrid and Toronto.
The concept of the exhibition goes beyond the boundaries of the fashion world. Blahnik is also inspired by art and architecture, and his work and way of thinking are no different from those of a sculptor, painter or architect. He not only designs his shoes, he also makes them. Thanks to his work, Manolo Blahnik became a cultural phenomenon and elevated shoemaking to the level of art.
