From October 14 to November 7, 2018, Czech photographers Jiří Turek and Jana Jabůrková led an exclusive intensive photography workshop in Tenerife for amateurs, professionals, and lovers of contemporary photography.
The workshop, held in two-day blocks, offered a hands-on, personalized experience focused on portraiture, landscape, reportage, and post-production. Throughout the sessions, participants worked alongside the photographers through all stages of the creative process: from location scouting and the use of natural light to editing and final image processing.
Jiří Turek is one of the leading figures in contemporary Czech photography and the principal photographer for the Czech and Slovak editions of Forbes. With over 25 years of professional experience, he has worked for international brands such as Škoda Auto, Vodafone, Coca-Cola, Finlandia Vodka, and T-Mobile, in addition to taking portraits of numerous personalities from the cultural and artistic world.
Jana Jabůrková, specializing in editorial photography and visual communication, collaborated closely with Jiří Turek on photographic projects and campaigns for clients such as Česká televize and various international publications. Together they founded the creative studio J3T, from which they develop projects related to contemporary portraiture, documentary photography, and visual storytelling.
The workshop allowed participants to discover different landscapes and settings in Tenerife while developing their own photographic vision under the guidance of two leading figures in the contemporary European photography scene.
